For quite some time now YOOtheme Pro has made Dynamic Content one of its most powerful features and we at ZOOlanders developed and released our Advanced Sources to make it even more powerful.
We later on introduced yet another major improvement in this area with our Dynamic Addon, which added Field Sources, Advanced Dynamic Conditions and Global Queries.
All of these features brought the power of Dynamic Content to its limits, and introduced new ways of developing all kinds of projects leveraging the various features and their incredible flexibility.
Today we’re introducing the latest, and most groundbreaking by far, innovation in this area: Composable Sources.
One of the last remaining limitations in the Dynamic Content usage is the single source per field, meaning that once you have selected a source for a field, you can only bind one of its values to that field. But no more!
With Composable Sources you can now mix more than once source for each field, and even write custom text alongside it! All with the same ease of use and customization already available with our Dynamic Addon.
Just imagine what you could do with it: create content areas from multiple sources, add in your titles more than one “piece” of your source…
But let’s see it in action!
Composable Source Button
When you select a source and bind it to a field, you will now see a brand new button that will enable the Composable Source mode. With this new button, your selected source will be transferred over the new editor, and you will be able to add as many sources as you want, alongside any content you want!

Magic, eh?
Dedicated Editor
This new feature is backed by the popular CodeMirror editor, which is also the editor chosen by YOOtheme Pro for its code and advanced fields. With our new tool we added it to all the dynamic content fields, and introduced a dedicated editor button to add as many sources as you need!

Same Powerful Features
Every included source has the same features you’re used to, like prefix/suffix content, format filters, etc!

Joomla 5 and YOOtheme Pro 4.2
Last but not the least, Essentials 2.1 brings Joomla 5 compatibility as well, and fixes a few issues introduced by the release of YOOtheme Pro 4.2. As always, be sure to keep both Essentials and YOOtheme pro up to date!
Conclusion
If you are already an Essential subscriber and/or if you want to know more about Dynamic and its Composable Sources, check it out. We cannot wait to see what you are going to make with it!
And this is just the tip of the iceberg! Just wait for the even cooler features we’re going to build on top of this new fantastic addition. Stay tuned!
